Thomas Hohlfeld

graduated in geophysics at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg in 1995 and since then he is working in the fields of geophysical, geological and geotechnical exploration. Main emphasis he puts on the investigations of dykes and dams (including the modelling of their stability), on the exploration of pits and quarries and on vibration monitoring and strain measurements. He is lecturer at the Bauakademie Sachsen and active as a member of the panels soil mechanics and earth and foundation work of the German Geotechnical Society.

Dr. Andreas Schuck

graduated with a diploma degree in geophysics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in the year 1990. Since then he is working in the field of applied seismics. In 1997 he received a doctor’s degree at the Technische Universität Berlin. His activities are focussed on high resolution seismic imaging of the underground for exploration, geothermal energy, infrastructure, or cavities. In addition, he is lecturer at the Universities of Leipzig and Halle as well as spokesman of the working group "Applied Geophysics" of the German Geophysical Society (DGG).
